Breath in the fresh mountain air and journey through the breathtaking Callaghan Valley as your guide leads you deep into an old-growth forest, passing alongside Salish Totem Poles.

THE MEDICINE TRAIL

All abilities 

Snowshoe through a forest full of mystery along an old trapper’s path. Travel deep into a real old growth forest in the Callaghan Valley. Learn traditional knowledge and sample healing teas from plants that grow along the Medicine Trail. Let your imagination go as you gaze upon giant cedar, fir and hemlock trees that provide a canopy high above. Finish back at the caboose for a light snack around the campfire.

Departure: 9:00am & 12:00pm
Duration: 3 hours round trip including shuttle
Cost: $99 Adult, $59 Child (8-12 years)

SNOWSHOE + SCANDINAVE SPA

Snowshoe deep into the ancient forest of the Callaghan Valley. Let your imagination go as you gaze upon giant cedar, fir and hemlock trees that provide a canopy high above. Learn a brief history of the area’s traditional uses and ways of the past, sample healing-teas from plants that grow along the Medicine Trail.

After your snowshoe visit another outdoor oasis, where plunge pools, steam baths, and Finnish saunas create mists amongst the trees. The Scandinave Spa awakens the senses, and soothes the muscles. The perfect combination of peaceful activity and blissful relaxation.

*Please note you will need to arrange your own transportation to and from the spa. Vouchers cannot be redeemed on Saturdays. No reservation is required for baths access. During peak times there may be a waitlist for bath access entry. All guests must be 19 years and older.

Canadian Campfire Cookout

Explore the forested trails of the Callaghan Valley by snowshoe on a historic trapper’s route. Your headlamp lights the way as the twilight descends amongst the ancient old-growth forest. Come together around your own campfire and experience a true Canadian Campfire Cookout with smokies, hearty chili and s’mores along with live entertainment. The perfect evening outdoor adventure for families, couples and small groups. 

Departure: 5:00pm Tuesday – Saturday
Duration: 3.5 hours round trip including shuttle
Cost: $149 Adult, $99 Child (8-12 years)

IMPORTANT BOOKING INFORMATION


Important Booking Information

  • Release of Liability and Waiver Form: It is mandatory for all tour participants to sign a Release of Liability and Waiver Form. Any participants under the age of 19 must have a parent or guardian present to sign on their behalf.
  • Cancellation Policy: Full payment is due at the time of booking. Cancellations by guests are permitted up to 24 hours prior to departure, and are subject to a 10% cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the activity are subject to a 100% charge. Canadian Wilderness Adventures reserves the right to cancel tours due to inclement weather, insufficient bookings or events beyond our control. If your tour is cancelled by Canadian Wilderness Adventures, you will be issued a full refund.
  • Credit Policy: Should you need to cancel your tour due to COVID-19 disruptions, restrictions or personal illness, within the non-refundable cancellation period of 24 hours, you may be eligible for our new Tour Credit policy. To qualify you are required to submit proof. This may include verification from a physician, travel documents, or other material deemed necessary to process your cancellation request. We will credit the full amount of your tour for use on a future date. Documented evidence must be produced to support this claim, if you cannot produce valid documentation, you will be charged the full amount for the tour. Please note the travel restrictions in your area before booking a tour to ensure you are allowed travel to Whistler. Refunds will not be given for anybody who cancels due to travel restrictions announced outside of the 24 hour cancellation period.
  • Alcohol: Under no circumstances is any person suspected to be under the influence of any drugs or alcohol permitted to go as a driver or passenger on any tour. Persons denied participation will not receive a refund.
  • Health: Adventure sport activities are not recommended for individuals who suffer back or neck pain, heart or respiratory distress. Consult your physician prior to participation. If you have any food allergies or food requirements please let you Reservations Agent know.

All tours are tentative until minimum numbers are met. Gratuities are appreciated for great service.
