Dog Policy for Tours on Blackcomb Mountain

We are pleased to welcome guests accompanied by certified guide and service dogs on our tours operating on Whistler Blackcomb.

Because we operate under Whistler Blackcomb’s mountain access policies, all guide and service dog teams must have valid identification issued by a training school accredited by the International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF) or Assistance Dogs International (ADI). Identification from these organizations, regardless of province or country of issue, will be accepted.

For everyone’s safety and comfort:

  • Advance notice is required at the time of booking to allow us to make appropriate arrangements.

  • Service dogs cannot be accommodated in vehicles shared with other guests. We will do our best to arrange a separate vehicle or tour time when available.

  • Service dogs must remain leashed or harnessed and under the control of their handler at all times.

  • Guests without recognized certification under the IGDF or ADI standards (including those with veterinary or out-of-province letters) cannot bring dogs on tour on the mountain, in accordance with Whistler Blackcomb’s policy.

If you have questions about temporary or out-of-province certification, please contact the BC Guide and Service Dog Program at [email protected].

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and inclusive experience for all guests.

Gratuities are appreciated for great service.
