Canadian Mountain Productions (CMP), a division of Canadian Wilderness Adventures Ltd., provides logistical and locations support for the commercial film industry.

Located in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, Canadian Mountain Productions has over 16 years experience in mountain transport and logistics. CMP is the exclusive contract holder for Whistler/Blackcomb film support, a relationship that has been built over many years of training and experience. Our team of professional mountain guides provides safe reliable transportation and locations support to otherwise inaccessible areas.

Summer or winter CMP can offer everything from locations and tech scouting to full base camp set-up, single camera still shots to major motion pictures, and everything in-between. We pride ourselves on providing the highest quality services and equipment to meet your specific needs and our skilled team is dedicated to making your production run smoothly from beginning to end.

Our highly skilled operators can provide everything from steady-cam and follow-cam driving to stunt work and athlete shuttles for events. We work with most of the major competitions in town from World Cup events to the World Ski and Snowboard Festival.


Whistler and Blackcomb mountains are the perfect location for any shoot. With panoramic vistas, snowy backdrops almost year-round and a network of lifts, roads and trails, these mountains are a production company’s dream.

Canadian Mountain Productions is the exclusive provider of transportation and support services for Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. We have an intimate knowledge of the area and can help you locate the perfect site for your shoot.

Whistler is a year-round leisure and meeting destination located 120 kilometers (75 miles) north of Vancouver, B.C., Canada and a site for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains have the most terrain (7,071 acres) and greatest vertical (5,280 feet or one mile) in North America with an average annual snowfall of nine meters (33 feet).

The Whistler Valley offers many hidden treasures, including Fitzsimmons Creek. Surrounded by beautiful coastal rain forest Fitzsimmons creek runs right through the middle of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains and is fed by the surrounding glaciers. The valley offers nature coupled with great views and extensive wildlife. This area is easily accessed with Canadian’s equipment in any season. We have exclusive summer use of the Crystal Hut Located 6000ft up Blackcomb Mountain. This beautiful Canadian log style cabin and offers a perfect view over the Whistler Valley.

Winter access via snowmobile and passenger snowcat makes getting up the mountains a breeze. Summer and fall our fleet of 4×4 vehicles including trucks, vans and ATVs bring people and equipment around the mountains.

We can facilitate communication with Whistler/Blackcomb PR and Operations to make sure everything you need is in-place when you arrive. Our background knowledge of the area can help make sure nothing is missed and your shooting days run as smoothly as possible.


With Canadian Mountain Productions you get more than just a rental car and a driver. Our vehicles come equipped with everything you need: off-road tires and spare, fire equipment (mandatory in summer), off-road chains for getting around in the snow, straps and tie-downs for your gear and professional drivers to get you there safely and efficiently.

Our staff are much more than just equipment operators and drivers, they are there 100% to assist with loading and unloading, locations set up and tear down, serving food, making a run to the hotel or store for that forgotten item, or anything you may need. They are fully trained and certified to operate in a mountain environment. We are the only transportation and logistics support for Whistler/Blackcomb for a reason: years of training and experience. Our training program is the best practices for the BC Commercial Snowmobile Operators Association and meets or exceeds any standard.
