SPROATT TRAILHEAD ATTENDANT

Sproatt Trailhead Attendant Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities:

Fee Collection: You will be in charge of collecting trail fees from snowmobilers
Education: Inform and educate users about watershed boundaries to promote responsible usage
Maintenance: Occasionally, you’ll need to plow the parking area to ensure it remains accessible

Requirements:

Transportation: Must have own vehicle to commute to the trailhead
Location: Applicants should reside in the Whistler/Squamish area

Work Schedule:

Hours: The standard working hours are from 6:00am to 11:00am
Availability: 4-5 days per week

SNOWMOBILE GUIDES

Canadian Wilderness Adventures is looking for Snowmobile Guides to join our team in Whistler, BC. As a Snowmobile Guide, you will lead guests on exciting tours through the Whistler backcountry.

Responsibilities:

Lead Snowmobile tours through the Whistler backcountry
Provide instruction and guidance to guests on proper vehicle operation and safety
Ensure the safety and well-being of all guests throughout the tour
Maintain and care for all equipment and vehicles used on tours
Provide exceptional customer service to guests throughout the tour

Requirements:

80-hour first aid such as Outdoor Emergency Care, OFA 3, or Wilderness First Responder with a CPR-C. Expected to have certification or course booked before the season starts.
A Class 4 license (BC) is not required but is an asset. We will work with you to get it if you don’t already have it.
Guiding or instructing experience is not required but is an asset

SNOWCAT DRIVER

YUKON BREAKFAST CHEF

Canadian Wilderness Adventures is seeking a Yukon Breakfast Chef to join our team in Whistler. As the Yukon Chef, you will cook and host our Yukon Breakfast snowmobile tour at our backcountry cabin on Sproatt Mountain.

Responsibilities:

Pick up and ensure food order accuracy from our catering partner
Safely travel to the cabin by snowmobile each morning with the food and supplies
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and cabin space
Cook and serve pre prepared meals for our guests
Provide exceptional customer service, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests

Requirements:

Previous cooking/serving/catering experience, ideally in a remote or outdoor setting
First aid (an asset but not required)
Unrestricted Class 4 driver’s license (an asset but not required)
AST 1 (an asset but not required)
Food Safe Level 1
Class 5 driver’s license

CHEF/SERVER

Canadian Wilderness Adventures is looking for a Chef/Server for the Crystal Hut Salmon Bake dining tour this summer.

Looking for a job that combines your love for cooking with front-of-house service — all in one of the most breathtaking locations in Whistler? Join our team at the Crystal Hut, a cozy log cabin perched high on Blackcomb Mountain, where we host the famous Salmon Bake dining tour by ATV and Jeep.

This is a dual role for someone who’s as comfortable behind the grill as they are engaging with guests. You’ll help prepare and serve a classic West Coast salmon meal, lead the warm, welcoming experience we’re known for, and enjoy a daily commute that includes off-road vehicles and mountain air.

Responsibilities:

Cook and plate from a set menu (salmon, potatoes, salad, baked goods, etc.)
Prep ingredients and maintain a clean, organized kitchen space
Serve guests directly and share the story of this one-of-a-kind dining experience
Set and clear tables, assist with clean-up, and help create a relaxed, memorable evening for guests
Travel to and from the Crystal Hut via Jeep or ATV, depending on weather/trail conditions

Requirements:

Experience in both kitchen and front-of-house environments
Food Safe certification (or willingness to obtain it)
A friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for great food and guest service
Ability towork independently and as part of a small, tight-knit team
Comfortable working in a remote, rustic location with set menus and scheduled tour arrivals

We offer a starting wage of $23/hour (depending on experience). Canadian Wilderness Adventures is looking for outgoing individuals with exceptional customer service skills to join our team in Whistler, BC. As a Guest Experience Agent, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and promoting our adventure activities to guests.

Responsibilities:

Greet and check-in guests for adventure activities
Provide information about adventure activities, tour options, and pricing
Upsell adventure activities and tours to guests
Process bookings and payments through Fareharbor
Maintain and update guest information in Fareharbor
Assist with the coordination of group bookings and events
Provide exceptional customer service to guests before, during, and after their adventures

Requirements:

Previous customer service experience
Good working knowledge of computers
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Passion for the outdoors and adventure activities
Background in sales an asset
Class 5 unrestricted BC license (or equivalent)

16-hour first aid certification

CANOE GUIDES

Canadian Wilderness Adventures is looking for Canoe Guides to join our team in Whistler, BC. As a Canoe Guide, you will lead guests on unforgettable paddling adventures on Alta Lake and down the River of Golden Dreams.

Responsibilities:

Lead canoe tours through the stunning waterways of Whistler
Provide guests with information on the local flora and fauna, history, and geology of the area
Ensure the safety and well-being of all guests throughout the tour
Maintain and care for all equipment used on tours
Provide exceptional customer service to guests throughout the tour

Requirements:

40-hour first aid certification
Guiding or instructing experience is not required, but is an asset
Paddling training and certification are provided in-house

Wage:

$20-$22/hour
